Keanie Park

Keanie Park

A vision for the future of a traditional football ground.

Keanie Park has been home to Johnstone Burgh FC, a junior football club in Renfrewshire, since the 1960s.

Surrounded by mature trees and grassy viewing slopes, the ground has a distinctive character - but its facilities now need modernisation to support the club’s ambitions and create more opportunities for local young people to play.

Our masterplan for the redevelopment sets out how the site can evolve into a more welcoming, accessible community sports facility.

At its heart is a new public entrance square, creating a clear focal point and providing access to both the refurbished pavilion and the spectator areas.

The upgraded pavilion will offer modern, accessible, naturally lit spaces for hospitality on match days and community use throughout the week.

An artificial pitch and floodlighting will enable year-round training, evening matches, and help the club meet SFA licensing requirements for promotion to higher leagues. The wider vision also includes a new all-seated stand, improved supporters’ facilities, and an additional 7-a-side pitch to maximise community use.

Planning permission for the first phase is approved, and we’re now working with the club to deliver the floodlights that will support their SFA licence application and open the door to further promotion through the leagues.
