Your Project Process
The design and construction process can be daunting, but our role is to guide you through it from first ideas to completion, so each stage feels manageable and clear. There are three main phases to every project.
1. Design
We start by listening. Together we explore options and develop a design that makes the most of your home and works for your family, with a focus on improving natural light and the overall layout.2. Permissions
Once the design is agreed, we handle the planning and building warrant applications. We prepare the drawings, coordinate with the engineer, and manage the process with the council. Planning is usually submitted first, followed by the building warrant. This stage of the process can take several months.3. Construction
With permissions in place, we help you find the right contractor and stay involved throughout the construction process. As contract administrator we oversee the work, check progress, certify payments to the builder and help ensure your project is delivered properly and finished to a high standard.How Your Project Begins
Most projects start with a quick email or call outlining what you’re hoping to do.
From there we can arrange a first visit if needed, and talk through early ideas and what permissions might apply. After that we’ll send a clear fee proposal so you know exactly what’s involved.
