Designing our Own Website

How our approach to architecture shaped the recent redesign of our website.

Clear communication is one of our priorities. Whether we’re preparing a fee proposal, coordinating construction drawings or guiding a project through planning, our aim is always the same: to make complex things understandable and to give clients confidence in the decisions being made.

The recent update to our website grew directly out of that approach. Over time we realised that our existing site wasn’t explaining who we are, what we do or how we work with different types of clients. It didn’t reflect the way we actually work.

Over the last few years we’ve built up a broad range of experience. Alongside domestic extensions and renovations, we’ve worked on listed buildings, town-centre projects, football grounds and development-led schemes. We wanted the website to clearly show that diversity, so visitors can quickly see relevant examples and understand how our experience might apply to their own project.

Clarity is also about process. Clients often tell us that uncertainty about what happens next is one of the most stressful parts of starting a project. Our new client type specific pages for Homeowners, Commercial clients, and Football Clubs explain how we approach collaboration. It’s not a fixed formula, but a consistent way of working that prioritises good questions, clear information and practical decisions.

Finally, the site reflects the fact that we are a team. Architecture is collaborative by nature, and the projects we’re most proud of are shaped by strong working relationships, both within the studio and with clients, consultants and contractors.

The updated website is simply another expression of that mindset. If it helps people feel more informed and more confident about getting in touch, then it’s doing its job.
